Roomote is the always-on engineer for your team. It joins the tools you already use, knows your codebase, gets a real development environment, and helps clear the bugs, chores, investigations, and backlogged work that pull engineers away from the product.

Get started

Connect GitHub and Slack, set up an environment, and start in Slack.

What Roomote can handle

See where teams usually start and what to hand off next.

How Roomote works

Understand where work starts, how it runs, and how results come back.

Environments

Give Roomote the repos, tools, services, and guidance it needs.

What Roomote is for

Roomote is not an IDE, local copilot, or desktop app. It is a shared AI coworker that works from Slack, GitHub, Linear, and the web dashboard so engineers, PMs, support, ops, designers, founders, and marketers can all ask repo-grounded questions and create real engineering work. Roomote is especially useful for:
  • answering codebase questions without pulling an engineer into the thread
  • investigating bugs and flaky behavior
  • planning changes before implementation
  • handling chores, small fixes, and backlogged improvements
  • reviewing PRs and following up on review feedback
  • resolving merge conflicts and repository maintenance work
  • producing visible, reviewable progress for the whole team

How work flows

1

Connect your code

Install GitHub so Roomote can access the repositories you choose.
2

Connect Slack

Slack is part of the core setup path because it is the main place teammates ask Roomote questions, assign work, and evaluate suggestions.
3

Prepare the workspace

Pick the first repository or repository set. Roomote then starts an environment setup task to configure what it needs to run and verify your app.
4

Start a task

Start the first task by mentioning Roomote in Slack. The dashboard, GitHub, and Linear can all start work too, but Slack is the recommended first path because it shows the team how Roomote fits into the existing workflow.
5

Verify and hand off

Review the transcript, diffs, logs, previews, artifacts, and final result before anything ships.
Engineers keep their local setup. Roomote complements editor-based coding tools by making shared engineering work visible and accessible outside the IDE.

Where to go next

If you are setting up Roomote for the first time, start with the quickstart. If your team already has the app connected, read What Roomote can handle or jump to the integration your team uses most.
